Sheffield & Railton, TAS

Sheffield is famous for its murals. In addition to the many pictures on the side of buildings they have a mural festival every year and the past winners are displayed in a mural garden.

Railton is the Town of Topairy.  Some of the sculptures were looking a bit shabby due to the dry conditions.

While you are in the area and pass through Latrobe make sure you visit Religuaire in the main street. It’s a special toy and science store with themed displays and unique items for sale.

Fun to see. I was in Sheffield in about 1984 and there were no murals then!

Very enjoyable. You saw a lot more of Railton than we did – more topiary at least.
